Ivy is a visible image of resilience, determination, perseverance, survival, and hope. When everything around it dies, it still lives. It scales walls and pushes its way through concrete. We believe that given the right tools along with encouragement and support, most people can scale hardships and push their way through impossible situations and circumstances just like ivy. Together, we can help individuals and families thrive and create positive futures!
Welcome to Community Healing Coalition
We walk with system impacted individuals and families as they journey toward healing, forgiveness and a new life. We also walk with the community members who support these individuals and families so that community healing happens even as the individuals and families are being healed... because family and community are essential for true and lasting healing.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see men, women, children, families, and communities affected by the mass incarceration of African Americans healed and made whole by the love of God.
Our Mission
Using evidence-based models, Community Healing Coalition (CHC) builds community around formerly and currently incarcerated individuals and their families for the purpose of building resilience, encouraging determination and perseverance, and facilitating hope and healing. We believe that God does the work -- we are willing vessels.
Our Values
Unconditional love and positive regard toward all people, clarity in our communication, transparency in our business operations, integrity and agility in our programming, accountability in our handling of finances, authenticity in our faith which simply means loving God and loving all people.
